Undergraduate Application for Admission – New Freshmen and Transfer Students

Students with a GPA above a 3.0 no longer need to submit a letter of recommendation!
Before you proceed with completing the online application for admission, please read the following information:You will need to create an account to proceed:
To complete the online application you will need your Social Security Number. If you do not have one or are in the process of receiving one, please submit a paper application along with this tuition equity affidavit form.Once you create an account and start your application:
You will not be obligated to fill out every section in one sitting, but after two months of inactivity your information will be deleted from the database.
You will have an account which you may return to at any time to fill/update your application.Acknowledgement of responsibilities:
I understand that my application will not be processed without payment or a completed fee deferral form.
The information that I am providing for my application is complete and accurate. I am responsible for any incomplete/inaccurate information that may delay the processing of my application.
Freshmen: I will submit official high school transcripts. See checklist for more information.
Transfer: I will submit official transcripts from every college or university I’ve attended. See checklist for more information.
Optional Items: Some incoming freshmen may be required to submit an SAT/ACT score or a letter of recommendation letter. Please check our requirements page to see if you will be required to do so.Important online payment information:
Credit/debit card: WOU accepts MasterCard, Discover, and Visa online. A 2% service fee is charged for credit/debit card payments.
Electronic check (E-Check): You can make an electronic payment from your checking or savings account. You will need to enter your bank routing number and account number, along with the Login ID you used to create your application. No service fee is charged for E-Check payments.
Check: If you wish to pay with a check, please submit your application without payment. Checks can be mailed to:

WOU Fee Deferral/College Board Fee Waiver:here Students who qualify for a fee deferral using the Western Oregon Request for Deferral of Application Fee for Admission or the College Board Fee Waiver may submit their online application without payment. The Western Oregon deferral form is available here. Please mail or fax (503-838-8067) your completed deferral form to the Office of Admissions. Note: The Western Oregon Fee Deferral does not waive your application fee.
Veterans and Active Military: Western Oregon recognizes the members of the U.S. Armed Forces and Honorably discharged Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces by exempting them from paying the $60 admissions application fee. Provide a copy of your DD-214, or, for current military members, a copy of your most recent military orders, Enlisted Records Brief (ERB), or Officer Records Brief (ORB).
Once you have completed the online application for admissions form please select the “defer your application fee” box. When the supporting documents have been received the application fee will be waived and your application will be processed. You can fax the required forms listed above to 503-838-8067 or scan and e-mail them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
