Mail services operates on a very strict daily schedule so to better serve campus departments by guaranteeing an approximate time of delivery each day. We spend an hour each day sorting incoming first class mail into department boxes, then bundle and organize into an efficient delivery system. Each delivery route takes about a half an hour and if mail is delayed for any reason (inclement weather or unforeseen delays at the Post Office) each department will be informed as soon as possible. A detailed itinerary is available below.
Mail Services acts as the delivery point for UPS, FedEx and USPS delivery couriers. Packages are received all morning and logged before being delivered by our staff in the afternoon. Mail Services staff will attempt delivery once between 1:00pm and 2:30. As a rule we do not schedule “on demand” pick up or delivery. If unforeseen events occur, then please communicate with our office to work out contingency plans; we understand that you can never plan for some events.
