The WOU Bookstore is a self-sustaining auxiliary enterprise operated by Western Oregon University and the State of Oregon University System.
The Bookstore is dedicated to supporting the strategic mission of Western Oregon University by creating a cooperative atmosphere of outstanding, personalized customer service, and providing maximum value to the System and its students, faculty, staff, and guests.
WOU is pleased to be able to develop a textbook rental program that provides WOU students with a truly green way to get the textbook and course materials needed for their classes. The rental program is green in that it saves students green (cash) by offering textbooks for rental at prices that are significantly below the cost of retail... and green on the environment because the bookstore will take back for reuse all textbooks that are rented. The rental program is supported by a grant from the US Department of Education's Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE).
The FIPSE funding was awarded based upon a grant proposal submitted by WOU in 2010.
