Bus Finders are available at several high-traffic stops around grounds (see below).
Each Bus Finder displays the routes that service the particular stop. In the example to the left, this stop is serviced by the University Loop, Colonnade Shuttle, Central Grounds Shuttle, the Northline Connector, and Charlottesville Area Transit's Free Trolley.
The lights on the left side of the unit are used to display the predicted time of arrival for the requested route. When the button for a route is pressed, a light corresponding to the number of minutes until the bus is predicted to arrive will illuminate. In the example to the left, the next University Loop bus will be arriving at this stop in 4 minutes.
The most popular destinations on this route are displayed in gray in the middle of the display screen. In the example to the left, from this stop a rider can go to U-Hall (University Hall), the U.Va Hospital, the Emmet/Ivy Garage, or the Madison/Preston area. If the destination buttons are pushed, the next arrival time for a bus going to that destination will be displayed, regardless of which route is is. The next bus may not be the most efficient one to take, but it will be the next to leave.
If service has ended for the day, meaning that no more buses will be arriving at this stop for the rest of the day, the circle next to "Today's Service Ended" will light when a button is pushed.
