TDM: Transportation Demand ManagementParking and Transportation has implemented an Occasional Parking Program for the Emmet/Ivy Garage. This program provides a special permit valid in the garage that will allow you to park up to 10 times in the garage ( view current rates). U.Va faculty, staff, and students (other than First-Year students) may participate in this program -- making it perfect for lecture series students, Culbreth theater patrons, bicycle riders, and any other occasional visitors to the University! A specific gate at the garage is equipped with a reader that will tell the program participant how many uses they have remaining.
To participate in the program and obtain your Occasional Parker permit, visit the Parking and Transportation Office at 1101 Millmont Street.
The Emmet/Ivy Garage is serviced by several University Transit Service (UTS) routes including the Green Route, the Northline, the Colonnade Shuttle, and the Central Grounds Shuttle. Click here to use our Route Finder to learn how to get around Grounds from the Emmet/Ivy Garage.
UTS services two stops near the Emmet/Ivy Garage. The Inbound stop is located just outside of the garage at a sheltered bus stop. The Outbound stop is located a short walk from the garage on Ivy Road.
