Special Collections Temporarily Closed
Special Collections will be closed beginning May 10, 2013, for construction. We will reopen on Monday, August 5, if all construction is finished.
Our research collections will not be accessible during the closure. Please contact us at spcoref@uta.edu or by voice mail at 817.272.3393 to obtain reproductions of photographs, graphics, or maps already digitized, or for other assistance not requiring access to the collections. The last day we can accept orders for new digitization is Friday, April 19.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the closure, and look forward to being able to help you with your research needs as soon as construction permits.
Upcoming JFK exhibit
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy Special Collections' fall 2013 exhibit, “Howdy, Mr. President!” A Fort Worth Perspective of the JFK Assassination, will explore his enthusiastic visit to Fort Worth on November 22, 1963, before his tragic assassination in Dallas later that day.

The Maverick Lens: Views from the Library
The Maverick Lens is an annual photo exhibit designed to reflect the diversity of learning, living and working at UT Arlington. Each year The Maverick Lens series will announce a theme and solicit photographs from students, staff and faculty for a framed art exhibit to be held at the Central Library. Submissions will be juried by a committee of staff, faculty and students.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UT Arlington Library the inaugural theme of The Maverick Lens is "Views from the Library".
