NOTE: Purchased event tickets can be picked up at Family Weekend registration from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, in the University Center foyer on the third floor. Registration packets also will be available. If students are sent to pick up the tickets, they must present their Griz Card. As more information becomes available, it will be posted to this site, mailed to registered attendees and sent out in Transcripts, the e-newsletter for parents with students at UM. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17
8 a.m.: Registration -- Pick up your Family Weekend information packet and find out what's on tap for the weekend. University Center third floor foyer. (Registration is open until 5 p.m.)
Noon-Midnight: Free Games -- Free billiards, pingpong and Xbox. University Center Game Room. Free with Family Weekend name badge.
1-3 p.m.: College Sessions -- Four of UM's most popular professors -- according to students -- will give 15-minute lectures on timely and interesting topics. University Center Theater. Free.
3:15-4:30 p.m.: Mansfield Library Informational Reception -- Come and enjoy refreshments while meeting with librarians, as well as math and Writing Center tutors. This is your opportunity to find out answers to many frequently asked questions about student access to UM's wealth of teaching and learning resources. Theta Rho Room at the Mansfield Library.
3:30 p.m.: Tour – Sign-up sheets at registration tables

7:30-9 p.m.: Stargazing Under the Big Sky -- Sip hot chocolate on the roof of the Skaggs Building and discover why Montana is called "Big Sky Country" with UM astronomer Diane Friend and a pair of her students as your guides. If it is a clear night, it will be optimal for stargazing, but wear warm clothes because it will be cold. Event will be canceled in case of cloudy or inclement weather. Free. Sponsored by ASUM.
9:30 p.m.: Movie -- "Batman" (1989). Rated PG-13. University Center Theater. Free admission and popcorn with Family Weekend name badge.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18
9:30 a.m.: Registration -- University Center Ballroom foyer, third floor.
10 a.m.: Tailgating -- Join thousands of Griz fans for tailgating before the big game. Look for the Family Weekend banner in Tailgate Booth No. 16. Menu: burger, bratwurst, burger or chicken breast, chips, potato salad and a beverage of your choice. Cost is $15 per person (not included in your student's meal plan). Reservations required.
11 a.m.: Pregame Brunch -- Enjoy a buffet breakfast, a welcome by UM President George M. Dennison and entertainment by UM students. Come for the chance to win a $1,000 tuition waiver from President Dennison for one lucky Family Weekend student. Cost is $15 per person (not included in your student's meal plan). Reservations required.

9-11 a.m.: Farewell Breakfast -- Say goodbye to your student during an informal continental breakfast in the University Center Atrium before heading home. Pick up a Family Weekend memento. Reservations required.
