Study Abroad - Getting Started
The University of Montana offers students the exciting opportunity to study abroad in one of thirty-eight different countries through three different UM sponsored Programs: our Partner University Exchange agreements with thirty-one foreign universities in seventeen different countries, the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), and Faculty-Directed Study Abroad Programs. Students also have the option of studying abroad on Non-UM sponsored Programs. Please visit the following links for more information about each program:

If you are interested in studying abroad, we encourage you to attend a Study Abroad Information Session. In these one-hour sessions we explain the study abroad opportunities at The University of Montana and how to do more research on them, deadlines, and application procedure. We also talk about the credit transfer process, financial aid and scholarships for study abroad as well as things to keep in mind if you choose to participate in a study abroad program which is not sponsored by The University of Montana. The sessions are held every week in the International Center during the fall and spring semesters at the following times and locations:
Tuesdays, 12:00-1:00 pm, Room 113Wednesdays, 9:00-10:00 am, Room 113
Thursdays, 4:00-5:00 pm, Room 113
You do not have to sign up for a session, but please arrive on time. We look forward to seeing you !
The sessions are offered every week of the fall and spring semester. During the summer and winter session, you are welcome to make an appointment with Marja Unkuri-Chaudhry, UM Assistant Director for Study Abroad, by calling 243-2296.
