I have lived in Montana my entire life. I graduated from Columbia Falls High School and attended college at Montana Tech in Butte. I enjoy living in Montana because my family is close and I enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and softball.
After working for the United States Forest Service for nine years, I started work for The University of Montana Business Services in 2003. In 2005, I started working at the Graduate School. I am very happy to use my background in technology to work on projects at the Graduate School dealing with automation, recruiting and diversity.
I moved to Missoula from Washington, in 2010 to persue a degree in Native American Studies and English. I will be focusing on attending Business School in the near future.
As the Admissions Coordinator, I enjoy building a bridge of communication between prospective students, the Graduate School, and specific departments. I joined the Gradaute School team in 2011 and took an interest in admissions. I enjoy being a part of a very important transitional period in a student's life by building relationships and providing resources. Please don't hesitate contacting me about questions or concerns pertaining to the admissions process, graduate school, or campus life in general.
My name is Isa Atkinson, and I am the Graduation Coordinator for the Graduate School. I came to work at the University of Montana in August of 2008, after relocating to Missoula from the Oregon Coast, where I worked as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and an early recovery group facilitator.
The best part of my job here at the U is working with the students at the graduation stage of their time here at the University, and seeing the relief on their faces when they have successfully completed their master's or doctoral degrees, and the pride that they have in themselves for a job well done.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions, or concerns. I can be reached at 406.243.2572.
