Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership (MTL) Online Degree Program

Applying to the MTL Online program includes a 3-step application process:

1. Apply

Fill out the University’s Graduate Online Application Form. You will complete the Graduate Student form. Using the pull-down menu, choose your planned course of study or your planned area of graduate study as Teacher Leadership – Online Program MA. You must be admitted to the University before you can be admitted to the MTL program. Questions about applying to the University may be directed to (217) 206-4847.

2. Send Transcripts

Prior to granting admission, the University must have official copies of all of your academic transcripts on file. Transcripts must be sent directly from each University to the Office of Admissions at the University of Illinois at Springfield:

3. Complete Personal Data Form

The MTL program requires a personal data form be completed. The personal data form is completed online and submitted directly to the program coordinator. The program recommends you submit the personal data form at the same time you apply to the University so we may assist you in the application process.

Legal Aspects in Education Graduate Certificate Coursework

Applying to the Legal Aspects in Education Graduate Certificate coursework includes a 3-step application process:

1. Apply

Fill out the University’s Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Online Application Form and mark your program of study will be a Graduate Certificate in Legal Aspects of Education. You must be admitted to the University before you can be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Legal Aspects of Education program. 2. Send Transcripts

Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Professional Development Coursework

The IDNR coursework may be completed for graduate credit or professional development hours. Candidates must be admitted to the University of Illinois at Springfield prior to enrolling in the coursework for graduate credit.

For graduate credit, complete the following 2-step admission process:

1. Apply

Fill out the University’s Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Online Application Form and mark your program of study will be Illinois Department of Natural Resources coursework. You must be admitted to the University before you can register for the IDNR coursework. Questions about applying to the University may be directed to (217) 206-7516.

2. Complete IDNR Coursework Form

The IDNR Coursework requires an interest form be completed. The interest form is completed online and submitted directly to the IDNR coursework program coordinator. The program recommends you submit the personal data form at the same time you apply to the University so we may assist you in the application process.

For Professional Growth credit (60 Continuing Professional Development Units [CPDU] per 4-credit hour semester course), please complete the interest form. Candidates will be contacted within 48 hours.


National Board Teacher Certification Assistance Coursework

Candidates interested in learning more about the National Certification process and/or receiving assistance throughout the process please complete the University’s Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Online Application Form. You must be admitted to the University before you can begin coursework.
