Master Teacher Leadership The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) online program is a vibrant, holistic, global master’s degree and professional development program. Graduates are known as leaders who excel in their teaching environments organizations and communities. The program is recognized for its leading edge use of technology, its innovative presentations of practical knowledge and skills, and its ability to provide enhanced access to affordable quality education that exceeds state and national standards of excellence in education.

The MAE degree is designed specifically for educators who wish to assume leadership roles within and beyond the classroom, but who are not interested in obtaining an administrative endorsement. It is characterized by lectures, text reading, discussions, and projects, with emphasis on reflection and writing. Courses include studies in teaching, leadership, research, curriculum/instruction, methodology, best practices, school improvement, technology use, and a master’s closure project. Courses meet the requirements for teacher certificate renewal. A total of 40 semester credit hours are required for program completion.
