TTU volunteers organize, provide workshops at Bonnaroo

Several instructors, staff members and students are among a group of volunteers who took “summer school with a twist” to this year’s Bonnaroo music and arts festival in Manchester, Tenn.

English instructor Andy Smith collaborated with festival organizers on a feature called The Academy to provide a schedule of workshop topics offering a blend of arts and awareness, and several other university representatives have signed on to lead some of those workshops.

TTU Foundation to purchase Prescott Middle School building and properties

In September, the Tennessee Tech University Foundation, using private funds, announced plans to purchase the current Prescott Central Middle School building and grounds, along with adjacent properties, at the price of $2.6 million. The Foundation will lease the building and grounds back to Putnam County Schools between now and the time the school moves to its new location.
