Patient care is becoming increasingly demanding as patients are discharged from hospitals sooner; and more complex nursing care is taking place in settings such as hospices, outpatient clinics and homes. Announcement of Accreditation Review
and Notification of Opportunity for Third-Party Input
TN Tech University School of Nursing (TTU SON) is committed to providing quality nursing education. TTU SON maintains quality consistent with national standards and participates in a nongovernmental peer review process of national nursing accreditation. Our current Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation status will expire in 2009.
TTU SON is preparing for an on-site evaluation of the undergraduate program by CCNE http://www.aacn.nche.edu/Accreditation/AboutCCNE.htm from February 25-27, 2009. This visit is a component of the accreditation review process. Another important part of the process is the contribution of written and signed feedback sent directly to the accreditors from our communities of interest. These comments will not be shared with the nursing program, but will be considered by the evaluation team.
Written and signed third-party comments will be accepted by CCNE until 30 days before the visit (February 25, 2009). Please address your signed comments to:
