Need an escort to your car or destination? A downtown Norfolk Public Safety Ambassador is just a phone call away. Dial 478-SAFE (478-7233). The NPS Ambassadors are available Monday - Thursday until 9:30 pm, Friday and Saturday until 11:30 pm, and Sunday until 6:30 pm.
Often called "PSAs," these friendly officers provide service to downtown Norfolk's residents, workers and visitors. Trained by the Norfolk Police Department to promote street safety and by the hospitality industry to serve as goodwill ambassadors, the PSAs work everyday to keep downtown Norfolk friendlly, safe and spotless.
