When is the last day to drop my class without academic penalty?The last day for a tuition refund usually occurs about a week and a half after the first day of classes. The dates are available online: http://www.tcc.edu/students/admissions/tuition.htm#due

How do I access my grades once the semester is over?To audit a course – attend class without taking the examination or receiving credit – your must obtain the permission of the appropriate academic dean (or designee) on the campus where the course is taught. You must then register for the course and pay the regular tuition. Courses your are auditing are not counted as part of your full-time or part-time status is reported to the Financial Aid Office, or to an external party such as Social Security Administration, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the Veterans Administration, an employer, or health insurance carrier.

to the topYou can always speak with your instructor if you need assistance with a course. Instructors are required to have office hours and are available to assist you. The campus also has a Tutoring Center . They offer walk-in service (no appointments) and provide tutors in most subjects. Anyone is welcome although TCC students have priority. Come early, come often. We have a writing center, math resources (practice sheets, videos, textbooks for reference), computers for word processing or research, and the foreign language lab. If a tutor is not available in a specific subject, the staff will work with you to make a recommendation.
I need help with a class. What services are available to assist me?Yes, there is an Open Computer Lab for academic use in the Whitehurst Building.

What is a hybrid course?A traditional semester lasts for 16 weeks. We are able to offer some courses as 8-week session courses. These courses will either start at the beginning of the semester and last for 8 weeks or will begin at the middle of the semester and conclude at the end of the semester, also lasting for 8 weeks.
