Spring 2013 Sexual Assault Awareness Month The Clothesline Project The Clothesline Project began in 1990 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts to address sexual violence against women. Decorating t-shirts is a way of bringing this issue to attention in order to honor victims and survivors of sexual assault everywhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~ What is a Leader? A leader is a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal.
Come into The Women’s Center, take our leadership assessment, and find out what style works for you! ------------------------------------------ Do you like to knit? Would you like to try it? but don’t know how…. We are starting a knitting group (and crocheting) in The Women’s Center D-114 Kempsville bldg, Virginia Beach Campus Students, faculty and staff can stitch, share patterns, chat and have a good time! Opportunities for charitable activities will be explored, too. If you would like to learn to knit, someone will be there to teach you the basics. All are welcome! Every Monday 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm |
