Tuition & Fees for Business Contract Rate
The following tuition and fee rates are effective for the Fall Semester 2013. Tuition is subject to change by action of the State Board for Community Colleges. Fees are payable with tuition and are charged on a per credit hour basis. The Business Contract Rate of $183.50 per credit hour applies to out-of-state students who are covered under a contract between the college and a Virginia employer or Federal installation in Virginia.
Institutional Fee…$5.30 per credit hour (up to a maximum of 15 credit hours per semester) is used to fund expenses related to campus parking including, but not limited to parking lot improvements, signage, parking lot repairs, lot security, and overall improvements.
Student Activity Fee…$2.55 per credit hour (up to a maximum of 15 credit hours per semester) is used to fund various student activities and programs including, but not limited to honor societies, leadership training, community and cultural events, clubs, athletics, student publications, and learning assistance.
Technology Fee…$7.50 per credit hour is used to finance major improvements in information technology. There is no maximum per credit hour charge for this fee.
The Capital Fee…$18.00 per credit hour is assessed to all out-of-state students to help offset debt service on bonds issued for capital construction. There is no maximum per credit hour charge for this fee.
Auxiliary Capital Fee…$19.00 per credit hour (up to a maximum of 15 credit hours per semester) is used to construct, maintain, and operate facilities for which state General Fund dollars are not permitted.
