TCC off-campus Proxy access Library@TCC
Using a username and password a proxy service verifies you are an authorized user and allows you to access full text databases and other resources from the convenience of your home or other off-campus location. If you are a currently registered student, a faculty or staff member of the VCCS or one of its colleges, you are authorized to use these resources through the VCCS proxy service. You will need a computer with an Internet connection, a username, and a password. Accounts should be available by the first day of classes of the current semester. You can view an online demonstration of remote access login to TCC Library resources.

Your username and password is the same as you use for BlackBoard or myTCC. If you do not know your username and password you can look it up using myTCC.
Once you log in to myTCC use BlackBoard. You should be able to use most resources without logging in again. Click on the Research tab to access the library web site or use the quick search boxes.

When you click on one of the licensed resources you will see a screen asking for your username and password. You may be asked to enter your username and password more than once, depending on the databases you elect to use.

Firewalls are security measures placed on computer networks. If your computer is protected by a firewall our proxy service will not work. You might try speaking with your computer network administrator.
Military? Using Service Portals (Dudley Knox Library) or Military OneSource Some students in the military are unable to access library databases because of the military's policies for national security. Military personnel have access to some library databases through the Department of Defense. The online services of AKO, NKO, and AFPortal include many of the same databases available at TCC.
