All four-year, public institutions in Virginia (and many of Virginia's private colleges) publish a "transfer guide" that is intended to help transfer students from the VCCS determine appropriate transfer procedures and transfer course equivalencies. Typically, students may obtain a transfer guide by contacting the Admissions Office at the transfer institution. Some institutions also publish this information on the world wide web, as below. (VCCS course equivalencies and other transfer information published by senior institutions.)
