VFIC Ethics Bowl, an annual event that brings together students and faculty from VFIC member schools, will be held at Shenandoah University in the Brandt Student Center. The Ethics Bowl involves eight teams of students debating each other over the course of one afternoon and one morning, culminating in a final round and trophy presentation. Rounds one and two take place Sunday followed by dinner. Rounds three and four are Monday morning, with the event ending by approximately 1 p.m. All of the debates, which are called presentations, will take place throughout BSC.
“Writing in the Discipline (WID): How and Why it Works,” a presentation by guest speaker Terry Zawacki, begins at 3 p.m. in Henkel Hall, Room 223. Dr. Zawacki, a recognized writing expert, will give this talk during the Arts & Sciences faculty meeting, and all faculty interested in improving student writing are welcome to attend.
