Traffic Monitoring System Overview
The
New Jersey’s Traffic Monitoring Program (pdf 1.1m) is composed of Short Term Data Collection Program, Continuous Traffic Monitoring Program (from permanent TVS, WIM and AVC sites), TMS Database Maintenance and the TMS Infrastructure Renewal Program.
The Bureau of Transportation Data and Safety is responsible for data collection, processing, summarization and dissemination of traffic data including the installation and maintenance of permanent TMS sites.
