Every year in March, the U.Va. Engineering School opens its doors to anyone who has ever wondered “What is it like to be an engineer?” This family-friendly event is free and open to the public and features demonstrations, exhibits, tours, a presentation by former astronaut Kathy Thornton and much more. The time is now. The place is here …
There has never been a better time to be an engineer. Solutions to the problems the world faces today require individuals who are leaders of innovation with a broad understanding of technology, ethics, communications and policy. If you want to become an innovation leader, join us at the University of Virginia School of Engineering.
Founded in 1836, the School offers excellent academic programs, undergraduate research and experiential opportunities, cultural and specialized engineering student groups, opportunities to double-major and minor in fields outside engineering (such as engineering business), international experiences and world-class faculty.
We help students build a strong foundation for careers in engineering and a range of professions, including business, law and medicine. Our alumni include engineering deans, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, astronauts, authors, lawyers and doctors.
Apply to the School of Engineering through the University of Virginia Office of Admissions.
