Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree
The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) program makes it possible for working adults to complete a degree from the University of Virginia in the evenings, on a part-time basis. The degree completion program offers a broad liberal arts curriculum with concentrations in business, the humanities, and social sciences. Individuals may enroll in courses on a part-time basis, without applying to a degree program, by registering as a Community Scholar. Evening classes in the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree are open to Community Scholars on a space available basis and by permission. As a Community Scholar, you can enroll in up to two courses in both the fall and spring. Individuals may enroll in on-Grounds courses on a part-time basis, without applying to a degree program, by registering as a Community Scholar.
