RPU RECEIVES RECOGNITION FOR ANNUAL REPORT & INFORMATIVE VIDEOS

Riverside, Calif. – Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) was recently awarded recognition by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) and the Videographers Awards for its latest annual report and two of its informative videos.

The LACP, who facilitates discussion of best-in-class practices within the profession while also recognizing those who demonstrate exemplary communications capabilities, presented RPU with a Silver award in its 2011 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition for the utility’s Financial Report for the past year.

Meanwhile, two of the utility’s informative videos “January 2012 Back of Bill” and “GreenRiverside.com”, available for viewing on www.YouTube.com/rpunews, received Awards of Distinction from the Videographer Awards, an international competition designed to recognize excellence in video productions, TV commercials, news programs, and digital media.

“It is our goal to create informative communications materials and videos for our customers that shows how their community-owned utility company is of value to them,” said RPU’s Assistant General Manager of Customer Relations/Marketing Mike Bacich. “It gives us great pride to know that our work is among the best, according to these prestigious groups, which feature the nation’s and world’s top marketing and communications personnel.”
