Report of the Blue Ribbon Library/Museum Task Force
Mayor Loveridge recommends the Council approve in concept the Blue Ribbon Library/Museum Task Force and that the Council schedule two workshops to focus on space needs, design and funding. (August 12, 2008)

Acceptance of Obuasi (Ghana, Africa) as Riverside’s 7th and newest Sister City
Mayor Loveridge recommends that the City Council accept and approve Obuasi as Riverside’s Sister City in Ghana, Africa.(August 12, 2008)

Green Energy Financing
Mayor Loveridge recommends that the City Council refer the possible adoption of new voluntary energy option (AB811) to fund solar panels, and other energy upgrades, to the Public Utility Board, with a recommendation back to the Council within 60 days. (August 12, 2008)

Resolution expressing the City Council’s opposition to DHL’s plan to expand its operations by contracting with Polar Air for a nightly flight between Riverside and Asia which would involve late-night landings and early-morning departures from the March Air Reserve Base
