The Oregon Accountability Model has six components that provide a foundation for inmates to lead successful lives upon release.

Meaningful work gives inmates the solid base of skills & attitudes they need to get jobs, succeed in the workplace, and become productive citizens.

The Correctional Case Management Unit is responsible for a broad variety of services to institution staff, inmates and their families in support of the Oregon Accountability Model and the Correctional Case Management.

Offender intake and assessment for the Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) takes place at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility located in Wilsonville, Oregon. All offenders sentenced to serve time with ODOC enter through this facility except when determined to be inappropriate for safety and security reasons. The intake and assessment process usually requires about three to four weeks to complete. During this time offenders take part in a number of assessments and information gathering activities. These activities are designed to identify security, medical, mental health, substance abuse, educational, and cognitive risks.

Health Services provides health care to inmates at each state institution operated by the department. State and federal laws have established that inmates are entitled to health care during incarceration. Health care services available to inmates must be comparable to health care provided in the community in order to meet the state's legal obligation. This means that all types and levels of health care must be provided in a clinically appropriate manner by properly credentialed professionals in settings equipped and designed for the delivery of health care. Health care includes medical, dental and psychiatric/mental health services.
