Subsidy Programs

The town offers financial assistance to qualified individuals who are unable to afford town recreation and leisure services.

Recreation Connection

Financial assistance through the Recreation Connection program enables qualified families to access one activity or program per season for each family member. Application must be made at the Recreation and Culture department at Town Hall. Assistance is offered based on the total income of all family members.

Canadian Tire JumpStart

Canadian Tire JumpStart is a community-based charitable program that helps children in financial need participate in organized sports and recreation. There are two funding periods: spring/summer and fall/winter.

Fee subsidies for recreational activities operated by the town are offered through:

Healthy Babies/Healthy Children Program
Child Care Program
Ontario Works Program
