Please note: Due to maintenance requirements, the opening of Lions Pool for pre-season swimming will be delayed until June 22. Please visit Brookdale Pool, located at 1215 Bridge Road, for pre-season swimming from May 27 to June 21. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Swimming is a fun, relaxing and affordable activity that you can enjoy on your own, with a friend or with the whole family. All pools offer recreational swimming and select pools offer drop-in waterfit opportunities.

Regular admission rules, capacity restrictions and fees apply. Please see below for details.

Recreational swim schedule

Open the spring recreational swim schedule (pdf, 763 kB), in effect March 11 to June 28.

Open the summer recreational swim schedule (pdf, 209 kB). Brookdale Pool schedule in effect May 27, other outdoor pools in effect June 22, and indoor pool schedules change June 29. Please check schedules carefully as end dates vary.

For the most up-to-date recreational swimming information, please call the respective facility. Schedules may change due to program requirements or maintenance needs.

Recreational swim admission fees

Price changes effective September 4, 2012

*In order to access this special group rate, at least one (to a maximum of two) of the members attending the swim must be 18 years or older.

FASTpass swim/skate

Each admission fee entitles you to one recreational swim.

A fee of $11.30 is applied to passes purchased by non-residents (except 10-visit passes). Prices include HST and are subject to change.

*A family with one or two adult guardians over the age of 18 and their dependents, 18 years of age or under, or full-time students under the age of 25 qualifies for a family pass. Multiple families cannot be combined on any pass purchase.

To reduce the risk of spreading germs and to keep our pools clean, please remember the following tips when enjoying our facilities:

Recreational swim admission standards

Patrons under the age of seven years must stay in the shallow end and be accompanied by a parent, guardian or designate who is at least 16 years of age and is responsible for their direct supervision within arm’s reach. There is a maximum of two children for each parent, guardian or designate. Patrons who pass the facility swim test may swim in the deep end.

Patrons between the ages of seven and 10 years who cannot pass the facility swim test must remain in the shallow end and be accompanied by a parent, guardian or designate who is at least 16 years of age and is responsible for their direct supervision within arm’s reach. There is a maximum of two children for each parent, guardian or designate.

Patrons between the ages of seven and 10 years who pass the facility swim test and meet the height requirements posted at the facility may be admitted without caregiver supervision.

Patrons 10 years of age or older may enter the pool without caregiver supervision. Patrons who can pass the facility swim test may swim in the deep end. Patrons who cannot pass the facility swim test must remain in the shallow end.
