2013 New York City Bike Map

The 2013 New York City Bike Map is now available! Featuring more than 800 miles of bike lanes, the map also includes cycling rules, tips for riding, lane descriptions, and a list of bike shops. More than 375,000 maps will be distributed at bicycle shops, libraries, and schools. Need a copy? Download the pdf online or call 311 to request a paper copy by mail.

Expanded Red Hook Summer Ferry Service

New York City officials recently announced the launch of an expanded, free Red Hook Summer Ferry that will operate weekends throughout the summer. The expanded service will begin May 25th and run from Pier 11 in Manhattan to a new stop at Van Brunt Street and then to IKEA, both in Red Hook.

App Quest 2013, presented by the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and AT&T, is a competition through which software developers are invited to show off their skills while solving real-world problems and enhancing the transit experience of MTA’s 8.5 million daily riders.

Weekender App

The MTA has launched the Droid version of the Weekender App which is now available in the Google Playstore. This free-to-download app shares the same features as the desktop version, including a subway diagram that displays the service to be provided each weekend and all service changes.
