I am an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia School of Nursing. I received three degrees from UVA School of Nursing (BSN, MSN, and PhD) and a post-master's certificate (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). I like to hike and create paintings.

Dr. Randy Jones is an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia School of Nursing. He graduated Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) in Fall 1998 with a bachelors degree in biology. Dr. Jones entered the University of Virginia as a second-degree student and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), earned a Master's of Science in Nursing, a post-master's as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing, making him a triple hoo (a person who graduates from UVA with 3 degrees). Dr. Jones currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate nursing students at the University of Virginia School of Nursing. His research interest is in prostate cancer, health disparities, and treatment decision-making. Dr. Jones has received internal and external funding, including a recent NIH/NCI R21 grant that focuses on advanced prostate cancer and treatment decision-making.
