Proteins from complete genomes have been clustered by sequence similarity into groups - COGs, or in case of viruses, VOGs. Genome ProtMap maps each protein from a COG/VOG back to its genome, and displays all the genomic segments coding for members of this particular group of related proteins. If a genomic molecule is larger than 20Kb, only a relevant 10Kb portion of it is shown. Move to a genome presentation of another COG/VOG by clicking on corresponding colored arrow depicting a protein, or find a cluster of interest by name, protein gi, or gene locus_tag:
