2008-2009 Meal Plans
How to use PIN System to change or purchase your spring 2009 Meal Plan.
Minimum Meal Plan Requirements by Academic Status:
Freshman: 180 Plan or125/250 Plan
Sophomore: 180 Plan or
125/250 Plan
Junior: No Requirement - Juniors can purchase any plan.
Senior: No Requirement - Seniors can purchase any plan.
180 Plan*
One hundred eighty meals per semester. Meals can be used at Winslow Dining to eat in or take out. Meals can also be exchanged for purchases at other Food Service venues. There is a set dollar amount for each meal period when exchanging a meal for purchases. Up to 19 meals can be consumed in a given week, but only one meal can be used per meal period - breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner Saturday and Sunday. One hundred eighty meals for a 16-week semester averages 11 meals per week. Meals do not carry over to the next semester.
Cost: $1217.00 Avg. Cost Per Meal = $6.77
240 Plan
Two hundred forty meals per semester. Meals can be used at Winslow Dining to eat in or take out. Meals can also be exchanged for purchases at other Food Service venues. There is a set dollar amount for each meal period when exchanging a meal for purchases. Up to 19 meals can be consumed in a given week, but only one meal can be used per meal period - breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner Saturday and Sunday. Two hundred forty meals for a 16-week semester averages 15 meals per week. Meals do not carry over to the next semester.
Cost: $1363.00 Avg. Cost Per Meal = $5.68
125/250 Plan*
One hundred twenty-five meals and 250 Flex Dollars** per semester. The meals can only be used at Winslow Dining to eat in or take out, but the meals are not limited to one meal per meal period. For example, use three meals to treat yourself and two friends or family members. Flex Dollars** can be used like cash in all Food Service venues. Flex Dollars** and meals do not carry over to the next semester.
Cost: $1217.00 Avg. Cost Per Meal = $7.74
175/350 Plan
One hundred seventy-five meals and 350 Flex Dollars** per semester. The meals can only be used at Winslow Dining to eat in or take out, but the meals but are not limited to one meal per meal period. For example, use three meals to treat yourself and two friends or family members. Flex Dollars** can be used like cash in all Food Service venues. Flex Dollars** and meals do not carry over to the next semester.
Cost: $1363.00 Avg. Cost Per Meal = $5.79
Commuter Plans & Upper Class Meal Plans:
The following plans are available only to commuters, juniors and seniors; however, commuters, juniors and seniors may choose from all meal plans.
85/150 Block Plan
Eighty-five meals and 150 Flex Dollars** per semester. The meals can only be used at Winslow Dining to eat in or take out, but the meals are not limited to one meal per meal period. For example, use three meals to treat yourself and two friends or family members. Flex Dollars** can be used like cash in all Food Service venues. Flex Dollars** and meals do not carry over to the next semester.
Cost: $875.00 Avg. Cost Per Meal = $8.47

What if I run out of meals?
Additional meals can be purchased in any quantity from the RacerCard Office on the first floor of the Curris Center. You must have less than 20 meals left on your plan before you are eligable to purchase additional meals. Additional purchased meals do not carry over to the next semester. Meals cannot be added to the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Copper, and Platinum meal plans. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail racercard@murraystate.edu.
What if I run out of Flex Dollars**?
Additional Flex Dollars** can be purchased in $25 increments from the Racercard Office on the first floor of the Curris Center. Additional purchased Flex Dollars** do not carry over to the next semester. Flex Dollars** cannot be added to the 180 and 240 meal plans. *These are minimum required plans for freshman and sophomore students who live in Residential College housing.
**Flex Dollars are valid only for Food Service venues and are not subject to Kentucky sales tax.
