The Marshall University School of Pharmacy will be located in the Robert W. Coon Medical Education Building which is adjacent to the Huntington Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Spring Valley. The building is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation which will result in a state-of-the-art, 76,000 square foot learning, research, and pharmacy practice facility. This renovation is scheduled to be completed prior to the start of our inaugural class in 2012.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 14, 2012 to celebrate completion of the renovations. Speakers included Congressman Nick Rahal, II; Governor Earl Ray Tomblin; Senator Robert Plymale; President Stephen J. Kopp, Ph. D.; Mr. Edward H. Seiler; and Dean Kevin W. Yingling, R. Ph., M. D.
