Marshall University Student Resource Center

Welcome to the Student Resource Center!

The Student Resource Center’s goal is to assist students in achieving success from their first contact with Marshall to graduation day and beyond! We provide students with transitional support as they move from high school to college, and as they advance through their college career, with academic and life skill resources, programs, and classes. Through intrusive advising, campus integration, and career/major exploration initiatives, we hope to promote persistence, retention, and student success.

The Marshall University Student Resource Center (SRC), located on the second floor of the Memorial Student Center, is a one-stop shop for many of your questions. Our resource specialists are trained to handle questions from a range of topics including basic academic advising, financial aid services, career services, and more.

Creating a Successful College Experience

What factors are involved in creating a successful college experience? How you experience college makes a big difference. Get involved on campus. Get to know your instructors. Ensure good study habits. All of these will help you succeed in your time at Marshall University and the staff at the SRC have the resources and know-how to help you get on the right paths.

How does the SRC work?

The Marshall University Student Resource Center (SRC) operates on both a drop-in and scheduled appointment basis. Any time you have a quick question that needs answered, you can walk in and the first available support staff member will assist you. If you need to schedule an appointment, you can do so either by calling our front desk at (304) 696-5810 or emailing us at
