End After End
© Lee Tabor

There I stood, now here I stand
On the beach buried in sand
The waves surround me, engulf,
Cover me, here I'm damned

In the woods, the snow falls fast
Here I'm lost, my chance has past
The wind blows cold, ice takes my mind,
The cold, white snow has made me blind

Here I am, in what feels like Hell
My body melts, a death-covered veil
In this desert of life, this life
Of mine, death holds the knife

Now I sink, down and down
Darkness comes, death is bound
No longer to hold, I take a breath
In floods water, no life is left

I open my eyes, and all I see
Nothing but darkness surrounds me
No pain, no light, no feeling or sight
Forever I remain, forever my life
