***Featured Faculty***  

Dr. Piyali Dasgupta, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Toxicology at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, was recently awarded $300,000 from the National Institutes of Health and $200,000 from the Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute to further her research on lung cancer. Dr. Monica Valentovic, Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Toxicology, will serve as her co-investigator on both grants. More Information...

MU-ADVANCE hosted The Pat Logan Symposium of Scholars to highlight the research outcomes of both the Program and the female Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) faculty that were participants. There were 12 research presentations, followed by 25 poster presentations, and a dedication to Dr. Pat Logan. Dr. Pat Logan, a MU-ADVANCE Co-PI, passed away in December of 2010.
