How do I find a book?
A
Use the Marshall Libraries catalog to find a books in the Marshall Libraries. You may find books located in libraries outside of Marshall University by using EZ-Borrow, or Information Delivery Services (IDS)

Location of the reference books?
A
The printed (paper) reference books in Drinko Library are on the 2nd floor. Online reference sources like Credo are available using links on the Popular Databases webpage of the Marshall Libraries website.

Where are the various book collections located?
A
The first floor of Drinko Library contains the "new books" section, the video collection, and the Appalachian Collection. The reference books, journals, children's books, and some circulating books are on the second floor. The remainder of the circulating books are on the third floor. Our electronic books collection may be accessed using links on our E-Books website.

A
The childrens books are located in the childrens' books area, located on the second floor of Drinko Library.

How are the library materials organized by shelf numbers or call numbers in Drinko Library?
A
In the Drinko Library books on reserve are kept behind the Circulation Desk. The reference books with call numbers A-Z are on the second floor. They cannot be borrowed. The second floor has journals with call numbers A-Z. Journals cannot be borrowed. The second floor also has books with call numbers A-J. The third floor has books with call numbers K-Z

Location of the circulating books (books you may borrow)?
A
The circulating books (which are books you may borrow) are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors in Drinko Library. Other libraries where you my borrow books at Marshall are the Health Sciences Library, the South Charleston library, the Government Documents library, and the Morrow Stacks. Location of computers I may use in Drinko Library?
A
Drinko Library 1st floor has 60 machines. Drinko Library 2nd floor has 35 machines. Drinko Library 3rd floor has 70 machines. Click here to view locations of computers currently available for logging in. A Marshall University MUNet account name is required for logging into computers.

No food or drink is permitted in the Study Center.

Is food or drink allowed in the library?
A
Drinks allowed in spill-proof containers. Please keep food to a minimum. Please be considerate of others and keep noise, including headphones, down to a reasonable level.

What are the regular hours of the 24 hour Study Center in the Drinko Library?
A
The regular hours of the Study Center are 24 hours a day from Sunday at 1:00pm until Friday at 5:00pm, and Saturdays from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.

Where are the photocopy machines in Drinko Library?
A
The photocopiers are located near the elevators on each floor.

Where do I get my printouts in the Drinko Library?
A
The Drinko Library printers are located in the Study Center on the first floor, and also on the second and third floors next to the elevators.   
Reserving Rooms:

How do I reserve a study room or a presentation room?
A
Use this reservation form to reserve Collaboration rooms, Team rooms, study rooms, auditorium 402, and computer lab 349 or computer lab 138. For assistance reserving rooms call (304) 696-3223. To reserve polycom rooms 426 and 439 call Debra DeBruin at (304) 696-6671 or Dean Laton at (304) 696-3141.

Where is a video conference room?
A
Room DL229 in Drinko Library is a video conference room that students have access to. You will have to check in with University Computing Services on the 4rth floor. The alloted time for use is one hour.   
Scanners:

Where are the book and journal scanners located?
A
Document scanners are located in the Study Center. There is also a document scanner on every floor. Photograph scanners are located in the scanner room in the Study Center.

Where can I scan a photograph?
A
There are scanners to scan color photographs in the scanner room in the Drinko Library Study Center on the first floor. Ask at the Study Center desk to get access to them.
