Marshall University scholarship recipients who met their donors at the 2012 Scholarship Honor Brunch at the Marshall University Foundation.

More than 200 donors, students, parents, faculty and staff members recently attended the annual Scholarship Honor Brunch which honored recipients of Marshall University’s private scholarships and the generous donors who make these scholarships available.  During the 2011-2012 academic term, 1,243 private scholarships totaling $1,908,827.19 were awarded to deserving Marshall University students. 

Thanks to Mr. Lance West, Vice President for Development, for serving as the Master of Ceremonies of the event.  Also, special thanks to our guest speakers:  Dr. Ron Area, Chief Executive Officer of the Marshall University Foundation; Dr. Stephen J. Kopp, President of Marshall University; Ms. Lynne Fruth, President and Chairman of the Board of Fruth Pharmacy Inc.; and Mr. Jeff Forlines, parent of twins graduating from MU this spring.  We were also honored by a guitar performance by student Michael L. Pitaniello.
