An opening is available for a technical design assistant (events technical director). The events technical director works with members of the events and production teams to support visiting artists and academic departments with their performances, manage logistics, and supervise stage crews. The successful candidate will plan and execute stage technical elements of productions for touring artists and School of Music faculty members and students and also may teach up to one course per year in stagecraft and technical theatre. A bachelor’s degree and expertise in stagecraft, rigging, theatrical safety practices, and related technologies are required. This is a 10-month appointment.
