Listed below are procedures to make your jury experience as comfortable and convenient as possible. Please read all information carefully and follow all instructions. Should you have questions, please call 908-475-6995. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Failure to Report
Jurors who fail to report as summoned are subject to penalties, including fines and imprisonment. Call the Jury Manager at 908-475-6995 if you have questions about your jury service.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Policy
Please advise the Jury Manager if you require an accommodation in order to serve. The TTY Number is 908-475-6993.
Dress Code
Jurors must wear clothing appropriate for an appearance in court. Shorts, T-shirts, or clothing containing statements or offensive symbols are not permitted. In addition, work uniforms, including police uniforms, should not be worn.

Smoking Policy
The courthouse is a non-smoking facility. You may smoke outside the main entrance during breaks and the lunch recess.
Employment Protection
Please be aware that N.J.S.A.2B:20-17 protects jurors from employment related retaliation and provides for the possibility of both criminal and civil sanctions.

Petit Juror Service
Service is for one week or until the completion of one trial. If you are selected, you must remain for the duration of the trial even if it goes beyond your one week term. Jurors will hear evidence in either a criminal or civil trials and render a verdict. Jurors will only be required to report on an as needed basis. You must call or check the website each evening to obtain instructions regarding whether you must report. Once your service is completed, you will not be eligible to be selected again for 3 years.
