Hunter Purple is more than just the color of your commencement gown. It represents pride in your school, and pride in being a Hunter alum. Not just post-graduation but for the rest of your life.
There are many ways Hunter gives back to its alumni community: through use of the library; gym facilities and pool, career panels, social and networking events, guest lectures, the annual birthday lunch and reunion - all held at the 68th Street campus. There is also an online link to job openings and career information through the Office of Career Development.
There are all kinds of intellectual, social and volunteer programs that take place on- and off-campus, which offer alumni the opportunity to remain engaged with the Hunter College -- a community of over 100,000 graduates -- all year round.
Being an alum also means giving back to the Hunter community - with your financial resources; giving of your time; being a mentor; sharing your professional expertise and your life experience with current students - so that future students may enjoy the same fulfilling Hunter experience that you did. It means remaining a part of the Hunter community no matter where you are.
So be "Proud to Be Purple" - be a proud alum!
Take advantage of what Hunter can offer you, and of what you can offer to the Hunter community.
