The History Department offers two graduate degrees: a traditional MA in History and an MA in Public History. Individually designed 30-credit programs of post-master’s study are also available for qualified students. Evening and summer courses make part-time study convenient.

Application requirements, materials, and instructions are available on the CCSU Graduate Studies web site. For complete History Department requirements, be sure to click on the link for Additional Admission Materials. Please note that History Department deadlines are earlier than those listed for the Graduate School. All application materials must be received by the Department of History no later than December 1st for spring admissions and May 1st for fall admissions.

The History Department also offers a limited number of graduate assistantships which provide financial support for students who wish to participate in an academically relevant work experience while pursuing graduate study. To explore this program see information on Graduate Assistantships on the the Graduate Studies web site or contact the History Department Chair.
