Scholarship Information

Financial Aid/Scholarships

A variety of state and federal grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study are available to help the student with educational expenses through the Financial Aid Office at each college. Most of these programs are available to anyone who demonstrates financial need and qualifies academically.

Pell Grant

A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be repaid. Generally, Pell Grants are awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's professional degree. In some cases, you may receive a Pell Grant for attending a post baccalaureate teacher certificate program. For many students, Pell Grants provide a foundation of financial aid to which other aid may be added. You can receive only one Pell Grant in an award year. How much you get will depend not only on your EFC but also on your cost of attendance, whether you're a full-time or part-time student, and whether you attend school for a full academic year or less. You may not receive Pell Grant funds from more than one school at a time.

Federal SEOG

The Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is for undergraduates with exceptional financial need who receive Federal Pell Grants. It does not have to be repaid. There is no guarantee that every eligible student will be able to receive an FSEOG. Students at each school may be awarded an FSEOG based on the availability of funds at that school.
