Peace Corps' Coverdell Fellows
COMMITTED TO RECRUITING PEACE CORPS' COVERDELL FELLOWS
Georgia College welcomes returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) to apply for admission as Paul D. Coverdell Fellows to the designated graduate programs listed below after completing their terms of voluntary service. Fellowships may include a combination of tuition, stipend and/or housing. Georgia College is committed to giving its fullest consideration to RPCVs who bring the specific skills identified by the assistantship, as well as a unique and valued set of experiences and skills from their Peace Corps service.
Peace Corps Volunteers who wish to pursue these Coverdell Fellowships should initially contact Dr. Dwight Call, Assistant Vice President for International Education, who coordinates the Coverdell Fellows Program on behalf of the university, and the dean or coordinator for the specific graduate program, who will shepherd the candidate through the process.
Assistantships are typically awarded in the spring for positions beginning fall semester. For that reason, potential Coverdell Fellows should make formal application by February 1 prior to the fall semester they plan to matriculate.
