Georgia College's commitment to providing a quality educational experience with a small student to faculty ratio and a residential freshman experience means freshman enrollment is limited. In order to reserve your space in the freshman class, you must pay the SEVIS Fee, apply for the F-1 student visa, submit a housing application, follow the POUNCE course registration process and submit the Confirmation of Attendance form as soon as possible after acceptance. Be aware that spaces fill up fast and once enrollment capacity has been met, confirmations will no longer be accepted, and you will have to defer if you have not confirmed your space. Please also notify the International Education Center as soon as you receive the F-1 student visa to ensure a space is held for you.
All new freshmen (first-year undergraduates with less than 12 credit hours of university coursework) are required to live in University Housing during their first year of study at Georgia College. Students should apply for housing via their PAWS account as soon as possible after acceptance. There is no housing deposit required for international applicants. If you are a freshman who is 21 years of age or older, you can request an exemption from the housing requirement. Any request for an exemption must be made in writing to the Director of University Housing prior to the start of the semester in which you plan to enroll.
