Endowment

Endowments endure through time and provide ongoing, stable support to GCSU. With the level of state funding decreasing, GCSU Foundation places a high priority on securing endowment gifts for the future of GCSU. Named endowed funds provide an opportunity to commemorate a donor’s particular area of interest and create a legacy that lives in perpetuity.

Endowment gifts are permanently invested by the GCSU Foundation, and the income generated by that investment is used for the purpose you wish to support – scholarships (link to scholarships), fellowships, supplemental support for faculty, research, libraries, lectureships, programs, and much more.

A portion of the income is reinvested each year, enabling the endowment to grow and provide a permanent stream of income over time. Gifts to establish endowed funds are often paid over a period of time.
