Stafford Loan Funds

Students are initially awarded the maximum Federal Stafford Loan limits each year.  This application is only necessary if:

• you are applying for additional Federal Stafford Loan funds as a dependent student whose parent was denied a PLUS loan, or
• you have previously declined or reduced your initial Federal Stafford Loan award and wish to have all or a portion reinstated, or
• you have attained a higher class level (i.e., freshman to sophomore, sophomore to junior, etc) and wish to have your Federal Stafford loan increased accordingly.

Note:  Students must have a current year’s FAFSA and required documents on file in the GC Financial Aid Office to be considered for the Federal Stafford Loan.

Parent PLUS Loan

In order to receive the PLUS loan, Parent borrowers will need to complete an application and electronic master promissory note (MPN) at the Direct Loan website.
