Early Childhood (M.Ed.)
Available at the Macon Campus but some coursework may be available on the Milledgeville Campus.
The Master of Early Childhood Education program at Georgia College offers advanced preparation in the knowledge, capabilities, and dispositions required for effective, exemplary teachers of young children and Early Childhood Architects of Change. Early Childhood Master's students focus on school improvement while learning about best practice in their field. Based on data from their own schools, teachers will examine their school needs and create a plan for investigating a problem and developing new practices in their own classrooms and schools. They will share their answers to these real problems with colleagues through faculty meetings, board meetings, and state and national conferences.
It is important to note that this program is designed specifically for individuals who already hold or qualify for a level four (4) Georgia Teacher's certificate.
