Operations Manager Mike Wooten

WRGC, 88.3 FM, is a public radio station licensed to and operated by Georgia College in Milledgeville.  The station is an affiliate of Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) and provides listeners with the best in classical and jazz music, NPR news and locally-produced programs.

--WRGC’s coverage area includes Baldwin and Putnam Counties as well as portions of Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Morgan, and Wilkinson Counties.

--WRGC is part of the office of University Communications, which also includes the university’s television and video operations. 

--WRGC is simulcast on Milledgeville’s Governmental/Educational access channel - MBC TV4 on Charter Communications.

--WRGC’s lineup includes public radio favorites such as “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered,” “Marketplace,” and “Car Talk.”

--Georgia College received a $114,000 grant from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to help fund WRGC.

LOCAL PROGRAMS ON WRGC

Georgia College Presents

“Georgia College Presents” is a weekly show highlighting musical performances on the campus of Georgia College in Milledgeville.  From GC Orchestra and Jazz Band concerts to faculty recitals to appearances by guest artists, “Georgia College Presents” brings WRGC listeners a sampling of the wide array of outstanding performances on campus.  “Georgia College Presents” airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m.

Milledgeville Matters

As its name implies, “Milledgeville Matters” explores the important issues that are shaping the city, Baldwin County and the surrounding area.  Whether it’s a serious discussion of key community initiatives or a chat about the people and events that make our community unique, you’ll hear it on “Milledgeville Matters.”  Join host Jim Fain, a local businessman and a long time radio and television broadcaster, and his guests on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on WRGC 88.3 FM. 

Georgia College Connections

There’s always something happening on the Georgia College campus: guest lecturers, visiting authors and artists, new academic programs and approaches.  On “Georgia College Connections,” WRGC brings you an insight into this vibrant landscape with guest that range from GC administrators and faculty to students and campus guests.  Hosted by WRGC Operations Manager Mike Wooten, “Georgia College Connections” airs Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m.

Community & Campus Calendar

Keep up with what’s happening in our community and on our campus with WRGC’s “Community & Campus Calendar.” Hosted by Rochelle Smalls, “Campus & Community Calendar” airs at 6:20, 7:20, and 8:50 a.m. Monday – Friday during breaks in NPR’s “Morning Edition.”
