Georgia's Public Liberal Arts UniversityPEMBROKE, N.C. – The field for the NCAA Division II Softball South Atlantic Region Tournament was announced Sunday (May 5), and while the Georgia College & State University softball team (39-12) knew it was in, the opponent was a familiar face in Francis Marion University.
The No. 4-seed Lady Bobcats will face the No. 5-seed Lady Patriots Wednesday, May 7 at 11 a.m. kicking off play at UNC Pembroke’s LRA Field in Pembroke, N.C.
The Lady ‘Cats are 9-2 all-time at the South Atlantic Tournament, including two titles, earning Georgia College automatic slots in the Division II Softball World Series in 2003 and 2006.
